All of the Miamisburg schools have received recognition and incentive dollars in Montgomery County Educational Service Center and Montgomery County ADAMHS’s Schools of Excellence in Prevention Program.

This means that throughout the school year, the school made significant efforts to plan for and implement prevention programs and strategies to support student mental wellness.

Examples of the district’s social emotional learning program that promotes self wellness included Medlar View Elementary School’s Kindness Celebration. Students at Jane Chance Elementary wrote ways they were showing kindness to others.

■ Bauer Elementary School: Platinum Level $3,000 award

■ Bear Elementary School: Platinum Level $3,000 award

■ Jane Chance Elementary School: Platinum Level $3,000 award

■ Kinder Elementary School: Platinum Level $3,000 award

■ Mark Twain Elementary School: Platinum Level $3,000 award

■ Medlar View Elementary School: Platinum Level $3,000 award

■ Mound Elementary School: Platinum Level $3000 award

■ Miamisburg Middle School: Platinum Level $3,000 award

■ Miamisburg High School: Silver Level $1,500 award
